New report: Retention Cohorts

The Retention Cohorts report follows customers who placed their first order in the same month as a single group. Opened under Reports > Customers, each row is one month's customer group, and the columns give the share of that group that ordered again within 3, 6 and 12 months of the first order. The report opens with the last 12 months selected.

• It opens from the Retention Cohorts card under Reports > Customers.
• The table has five columns: Cohort (First Order Month), Customers (the size of that month's cohort), 3 Months, 6 Months and 12 Months.
• The percentage columns are cumulative: the 6 Months column gives the share of customers who ordered at least once more within six months of their first order.
• For cohorts where enough time has not yet passed, the cell shows a dash. For example, the 6 and 12 month columns of a cohort whose first order was two months ago look this way.
• The date range filter sits in the report header, brings the last 12 months on first open, and can be changed to any range.
