Feature
Change history in Service Settings
PlatformShipping
Who changed a service setting, when, and to which value is followed from the Settings > Service Settings page. The change history under the selected tab filters records by setting and by the person who changed it, and the button under the list loads older records. Users looking at the page for audit purposes only need view permission.
- The history shows the records of the open tab (Order, Product, Customer). When a setting is saved, the table refreshes by itself.
- Columns: setting name, the value before and after, the user who changed it, and the date.
- Values are shown with the same badges as the rest of the panel: on values in green, off values in red, order statuses with the colours and icons of the order table. The previous value is faded, the new value in normal tone.
- The Save button sits between the settings and the history table.
- The setting list and the history are about six and a half rows tall, and each scrolls within itself. On the Product tab with its 28 settings, the history stays on screen as well.
- Long setting names are truncated; the full text appears on hover. The date column is wide enough to show the full date on one line.
- The tabs look the same as the tabs on the Reports page.
- Users looking for audit purposes can open the page and the history with view permission.
